About Heidi
A lifelong vivid dreamer, in 2019, I began studying my dreams and how they correlate with the moon and common recurring symbols. Over the years, I’ve completed various dreamwork courses, and I’m currently enrolled in an Embodied Experiential Dreamwork Certification Program. I have a special interest in transmuting dreams into art, photography, writing, and other creative realms.
I have been passionate about photography since an early autumn day in 1993, when I stayed home sick from school and entertained myself by picking up my dad’s old Nikon F SLR, loading it with rolls of film, and photographing the family cats. I loved the printed images, and began picking up the camera every chance I had. After years of high school and college film photography classes, I took a years-long break before picking up my first DSLR. I spent a few years professionally photographing Thoroughbred races, including the Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup, which gave me real-world training in manual digital photography techniques. I eventually moved on to photographing landscapes featuring haunted locations in Chicagoland before landing upon my current style.
My photography is inspired by dreams and the cyclic essence of the natural world. Through my work, I invite the viewer to step into an ethereal world where trees and rivers are sage bridges across time, and symbols speak directly to you.
Dreams are not my only liminal home. I also have experience with tarot reading, animal communication, evidential mediumship, and trance energy work. I am a certified Reiki master.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my cats and partner, reading, watercolors, gardening, going for long walks, and visiting art museums and haunted places. I am profoundly deaf and am a visual communicator.
